2017 Grape Harvest. Earlier than usual and more quality features.

Vendimia 2017 en los viñedos de Bodegas Paniza

Last October 6th, our workers and associates completed the 2017 grape harvest of their 3,000 ha. of vineyards. The racemation started on August 23rd, collecting Merlot and Chardonnay varieties, and it has been marked by the year’s  climate. The lack of rains and high temperatures during spring and summer have caused the early harvest, 14 days in relation to 2016, and a lower amount of grapes.

Despite this decreasing, the collected fruit has an exceptional quality because of the perfect maturarion degree.

Is important to remember that our vineyards are placed in a preferential region, at the south of Iberian Mountains where the grapes ripen at higher altitude from among others vineyards which belong to Cariñena Protected Designation of Origin. The 850 meters above the sea level, bestow our vines a very specials attributes.
