Bordeaux Bottle

Very extended bottle for the preservation of red wines and clarets. It owes its name to the area of ​​Bordeaux where it originates from.

Truncated cone bottle

It is a subcategory of the Bordeaux bottles that is characterized by being widened in the shoulders in such a way that it resembles an inverted cone. It usually has greater weight and robustness than bordelesa.

Burgundy bottle

These bottles are characterized by a long neck and an enlarged shape at the bottom of the bottle. This type of bottles is destined, mainly, to wines of special elaborations and of medium and high range. Its usual colors are from transparent for some white and pink wines, to pale green, being the most usual in this case the dark green that we can see in red wines.

Rhin Bottle

In Spain it is the bottle chosen by the majority of white wines in Galicia and Catalonia. It is also used for rosé wines and sweet wines. The classic color is candy but the most common is green.

Jerez bottle

The classic container of olorosos, finos or amontillados. This bottle used in a regular way in the wine of Jerez, receives the name of this denomination from the south of Spain. It is somewhat heavier than conventional Bordeaux bottles and a little lower. Its classic color is dark green or brown.

Champagne bottles

Finally in this list we must include the classic bottles used to bottle champagne. These bottles that are named after the French region of Champagne. They are similar to burgundy, but with a more solid neck and adapted to be covered with cork and crown plate, which will take in the second fermentation that takes place in this class of sparkling wines inside the bottle.
